The training in project management is intended to lay the foundation for anchoring the European idea in the school programme. Participants should gain sound insights into the areas of financing, project planning and the development of school partnerships. School life is to be permanently enriched by European exchange projects, with our teachers job-shadowing with colleagues in other European countries to discuss topics relating to teaching quality, teaching formats, support measures, promoting the use of new technologies and innovative teaching methods, improving language learning and language diversity in schools, and supporting the development of the European school programme. language learning and linguistic diversity in schools, to support exchanges and the transfer of best practice in the areas of teaching and school development. Regular exchange projects will provide pupils with the opportunity for intercultural encounters.
Due to Nordhorn's geographical location on the edge of Germany, our pupils generally only leave the region for training and studies, meaning that they only have limited contact with international encounters and cooperation during their time at school. In order to lay the foundations for international encounters and later career opportunities, Erasmus projects should be an integral part of the school programme at our school in order to open the pupils' eyes to the common European heritage and European diversity. The basis for sustainable work in the Erasmus area is a sound knowledge of project management within the teaching staff, especially in the Erasmus team. In order to motivate pupils to take part in encounters at European level, teachers at our school should first build up professional networks in order to utilise these for further projects.
