The partner organisations involved in this project have been working withe each other for many years. One of the previous projects was the strategic partnership "No youth left behind" in which young people with fewer opportunities were participating in the best sense of the term - involved in planning and preparation, in setting up next steps and partly in following-up their experiences by further successful steps in the personal life-planning. This project was a next step in the cooperation between the partners. It started (in November 2022) with a staff training to involve more workers of the partner organisations and focussed on the realities (structures, funding, aims & objectives) and history of youth work in the four countries (Finland, Germany, Turkey and Poland) and on exercising and discussing participatory methods. Some follow-up meetings took place online between somoe of the involved staff members afterwards in order to plan next activities. The second part of the project was a youth exchange which was prepared by the partners in online meetings and on national level within the local settings together with the young people. The youth exchange took place in June 2023. The objective here was mainly to continue the successful cooperation by realising another youth exchange with the opportunity for active participation for the same target group (young people with fewer opportunities) and to somehow "experiment" with a new format and some new approaches. In detail, we aimed at initiating (cultural) exhange and understanding, personal growth and self-esteem, teamwork and communication, ecological consciousness, fun and adventure and generally to support international relations.
