Objectives

The project aimed to empower young people through a structured learning approach, focusing on open youth work, urban youth culture, youth art opportunities and human rights education using music as a method. Additionally, it included professional development activities for youth workers, where they co-created and developed new methodologies and approaches for future OYW projects. The threefold objectives were as follows: 1) Empowerment through Human Rights Education and Music: Leveraging the adaptive and inclusive nature of music, we actively engaged young people, creating an environment conducive to exploring human rights issues and European values. Our primary objective was for participants to grasp the foundational principles of human rights and understand their impact on social life, prompting thoughtful consideration of often overlooked aspects of human rights. 2) Development of Youth Work Practices and Quality: In our activities, we focused on topics within the realm of OYW, with the overarching goal of establishing long-term development lines with Erasmus+. We aimed to foster discussions on open youth engagement, promoting dialogue with young individuals for sustained and impactful development in this field. 3) Promotion of Urban Youth Culture and Free Time Activities: We introduced youth art initiatives related to photography and we collaborated with mobile youth centres to propose recreational activities spanning music, sports, and handicrafts. These activities aimed to provide leisure and art opportunities for young people, including those facing fewer opportunities, supporting them in enhancing self-esteem, acquiring skills, and cultivating self-confidence. Throughout the project's activities, the use of non-formal education methods and group-based activities played a crucial role in achieving its objectives. The overarching goal was to inspire active participation within communities, encourage awareness of cultural diversity, enhance social skills, and foster a deep understanding of human rights and European values. The project's execution involved various activities and exchanges in different locations: - A1. Youth Exchange “Music United” - Venue Israel. In the context of Activity A1, participants created personalized songs to explore essential themes related to Human Rights that emerged during the youth exchange. We utilized non-formal methods to collaboratively analyze, reflect on, and discuss these themes. - A2. Youth Exchange “Nature in Frame” - Venue Germany. The activity brought together creativity, cultural exchange and environmental awareness.
