The IJA has been an integral part of youth work at the Wiesbaden Office for Social Work for many years. After successful individual applications for Trainings and youthexcchanges, sometimes with up to four exchanges in the maximum project period of 24 months, the decision was made in summer 2021 to take advantage of the new opportunity and apply for an accreditation in the E+ program "Youth Sector" with advice from JFE. The accreditation was successful. The first call for funds was made in Feb. 2022. As already started in the Kommune Goes international process in 2011, the primary goal of the Wiesbaden Office for Social Work is to create access to international mobility projects for "young people with fewer opportunities" - "IJA for ALL". This goal is achieved in the accreditation through cooperation with municipal youth centers in "districts with increased needs", with school social work and educational assistance. In the accreditation process, both JB with new partner organizations and JB with organizations with which a trusting cooperation has existed for many years are implemented. In terms of content, the projects in the accreditation deal with the 3 objectives "civic education" / "digitalization in YES" / "(ecological) sustainability": POLITICAL EDUCATION (PB): PB was an explicit focus in the YB on the World Girls' Day 2022 in Turkey, the first German-Greek YB "Remembering for Today" on Jewish life in Greece past and present and the YB "Donostia meets Wiesbaden" with the topic "Poor&Rich". The planned YB with Russia could not be realized due to the Russian Federation's war of aggression against Ukraine. In view of the current geopolitical developments (war of aggression by the Russian Federation against Ukraine / Hamas terror in Israel), the Youth Work Department would like to offer several projects on PB with the above-mentioned target group in the medium term: Local and international. (ECOLOGICAL) SUSTAINABILITY: The majority of youth workers have dealt with "ecological sustainability" in a variety of ways. Of particular note here is the German-Greek YB "Two Nations - One Nature" in cooperation with Wiesbaden school social work, which has been dealing with ecological issues in Wiesbaden and Florina/Prespa Lakes for almost 10 years. In particular, it has been possible to transfer knowledge about methods of ecological sustainability that have proven successful in working with the target group of "young people with fewer opportunities" in international settings. The topics of climate change, weather phenomena, flying, etc. continue to be virulent topics that young people want to engage with in extracurricular learning settings. In some cases, a "saturation of the topic" by formal education / school can be observed, which is why new methods and approaches (such as those developed and implemented with the Wiesbaden ESD Network) are all the more important. DIGITAL YOUTH WORK: Following the first FM 2017 "Digital Youthwork" with participants from Wiesbaden, Ljubljana, Nilufer Bursa in Turkey and Israel in Wiesbaden's partner city San Sebastian/Donosti, a new edition was held in autumn 2022 with the same partner organizations in Wiesbaden's partner city Ljubljana, Slovenia, as part of the accreditation process. As already mentioned in the interim report, there seems to be an oversaturation or a new "digital normality" in some areas when it comes to the topic of "DIGITALIZATION" after the long period of the pandemic and the associated digitalization push, so that a targeted explicit discussion of "digitalization" as a core topic of a measure - apart from the successful FM "Digital Youth Work" in the Wiesbaden partner city of Ljubljana, Slovenia - was in little demand by young people and professionals. Attempts at youth work via "DINA.international - the digital meeting platform for international youth work" or the PM tool "A-Work", which the City of Wiesbaden is increasingly using internally, have not yet been successful. The digitalization of the "Wiesbaden International" department is progressing: an agency and employees of Wiesbaden International are currently maintaining the website www.wiesbaden-international.de and the Insatgram channel "Wiesbaden International" and Wiesbaden International is represented on the platform workvivo via the coordinator Conny Meyne as part of "Europe goes local".
