During the period from June 1, 2022, to November 14, 2023, CHANCE International, the international department of the educational organization CHANCE - Education, Youth, and Sports gGmbH, conducted a total of 14 activities as part of the funding for this project + 2 activities intensively prepared (including 5 flight tickets), which could not be realised due to the cancellation of the project by the National Agency (NA). These activities were aimed at achieving the following objectives: 1) Reaching disadvantaged youth groups and encouraging their participation in international youth projects under ERASMUS+. This was intended to strengthen their personal development, key competencies, and participation. CHANCE International is dedicated to implementing international projects for disadvantaged youth to improve their educational and life prospects. This includes young people from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, rural areas, youth with migration and refugee experiences, and similar groups. We aim to increase their mobility, promote their participation in non-formal education opportunities, provide them with the opportunity to gain experiences abroad, and develop their key competencies. We want to encourage them to actively participate in society through practical forms of participation and engagement. 2) The professionalization and further training of youth group leaders. Our training projects target both full-time and volunteer professionals in international youth work in Germany and partner countries. This applies to professionals who already have experience in intercultural work as well as those who want to develop in this direction and therefore wish to further qualify in specific aspects of European and international youth work. This includes identifying, addressing, and developing new relevant topics, testing and developing innovative non-formal approaches and methods, as well as exploring further perspectives for partnership cooperation in line with current trends and needs in the field of European youth work. 3) Deepening and expanding the European partner network and promoting exchange of experiences between established and new organizations within the framework of Erasmus+. This includes deepening cooperation with already established organizations as well as developing new formats, addressing and exploring new topics, developing long-term projects, and involving new organizations from the EU and other partner countries, especially from economically disadvantaged regions. We aim to establish partnerships with social pedagogical youth organizations and youth welfare institutions and integrate their target groups into European youth work to expand their practice at the European level. We want all partners to learn from each other and support each other in promoting European values. 4) Connecting the two EU programs Erasmus+ and ESK to network European youth work with local educational projects and funding. This allows participants in Erasmus+ and ESK to exchange ideas and address current issues. These activities are intended to sustainably strengthen the participation of disadvantaged youth and integrate their activities into local projects and funding opportunities to create synergies between these areas. The activities carried out included youth encounters, training, seminars, and preparatory visits. These activities contributed to successfully achieving the set goals.
