The COVID 19 pandemic has changed the lifestyles and habits of people around the world, but has also contributed to greater pollution and dangerous environmental impacts. Europe is facing climate change that is changing lifestyles but also contributing to changing people's habits and everyday life. Pollution, especially from the air, has a negative impact on people's health and their lifestyle. According to EUROSTAD research and reports from 2018 until now, % of waste is increasing and the data are alarming. 5.2 tons of waste were generated per EU inhabitant in 2018 and since then this trend is increasing and the eco activities undertaken are minimal. For example, in 2018, the highest levels of waste generation were recorded for waste and water services (208 million tons), for households (186 million tons) and for manufacturing activities (180 million tons). Environmental pollution is a major challenge that affects even the youngest and the data show that. The data show that activities are needed to protect the environment but also to involve young people to protect nature and raise public awareness. Youth activism, and non-governmental organizations through non-formal education can contribute to the education of young people but their guidance on how to protect the environment and promote environmental habits. Motivated by the alarming situation with pollution in the EU, young people from 7 non-governmental organizations met on a video conference and defined a plan for organizing a Key Action 152 for raising the eco-awareness of young people and their active involvement in environmental actions for environmental protection. Young people are a driving force, but they do not have enough education and professional skills to be actively involved in the process of environmental protection. Young people need to improve their skills in the field of environmental protection and their approach to Green EU. This youth exchange was organized in order to motivate young people to be actively involved in environmental actions but also to bring them closer to the challenges of environmental protection. Objectives - Improving the skills, knowledge and habits of young people in the process of environmental protection - Bringing young people closer to new EU practices in the field of environmental protection - Research of new methodologies for environmental protection, promotion of green habits, methods for protection of nature resources and waste recycling - Organization of environmental promotions for raising public awareness and promotion of Green Europe - Promotion of the Erasmus + program as a mechanism for involving young people with fewer opportunities
