Objectives

We started this project because young people today mostly use digital technology to learn about important events in their community and around the world. They also use digital tech to respond to these events. In many developing countries, more and more young people are using the internet, and it's making it easier for them to get involved and be accountable with just a click. Unfortunately, having instant access to information can sometimes cause problems for young people, leading to conflicts. On the other hand, digital platforms can also help young people by giving them the power to learn more, connect with others, and be strong when facing challenges. This can help them make positive changes and promote peace. Through this project, we wanted to contribute to solving the challenges which youth from our countries face nowadays; The general objective of this project was to gain knowledge and awareness on how to tackle hate speech and eliminate conflicts through digital sources, as well as promote diversity, intercultural and interreligious dialogue, common values of freedom, tolerance and respect for human rights, and enhance critical thinking of young people. Hence the project aims were: to provide participants with the required competencies to promote peace, intercultural dialogue tolerance and integration through digital sources. To acknowledge the participants with the concept of conflict management, as a tool for the prevention of personal and interpersonal conflicts among youth; to give the participants practical skills and knowledge on how to find the difference between reliable and unreliable information sources. to make the participants able to identify and combat fake news and eliminate hate speech. to increase the knowledge about the concept of peacebuilding and reconciliation; to empower youth and assist in the building of their resilience against hate speech, radicalisation and violence;
