The project "Who am I" aimed to explore und understand the concept of identity and encourage critical thinking and dialogue about its various dimensions in a European and multicultural context. Through this initiative, we wanted to raise awareness about the advantages and challenges of having multiple identities and to address issues such as identity crises, discrimination, stereotyping, and hate speech among young people. A key focus was to empower participants by fostering self-reliance, confidence, empathy, and respect for others while building positive relationships and promoting intercultural understanding. It was important for us that we created a space for young people where theyy can openly speak about this topic. The project also tackled the link between migration, identity, and youth extremism, aiming to discuss factors influencing young people to engage in such activities and to create an environment of respect and openness to diversity, reducing fear and hostility toward the unfamiliar. Aligned with the objectives of Key Action 1, we aimed to improve key competences and skills among young people, particularly those with fewer opportunities, and to foster active citizenship, intercultural dialogue, social inclusion, and solidarity. By promoting EU transparency and recognition tools like YouthPass, we enhanced cooperation between organizations in the youth field. Thanks to various workshops, young people could learn new skills and gain knowledge, thorugh interesting and creative workshops. YouthPass was also an important tool to evaluate their education process. Through non-formal education and interactive workshops on topics like European identity, extremism, discrimination, stereotypes, and hate speech, we facilitated learning and sharing of experiences among participants from diverse backgrounds. By empowering young people and valuing their identities, we aspired to foster a more inclusive, empathetic, and cooperative society while equipping participants with skills, opportunities, and platforms to maximize their potential as active development actors. We believe that thanks to exchange like this one, we open new perspectives for young people and show them opportunities to get to know the world.
