Objectives

By implementing this project, our main objective was to address the pressing issues of environmental pollution and the lack of eco-consciousness among youth. We aimed to achieve the following goals: Raise awareness and knowledge: We wanted to inform the participants about the actions taken by the German government to protect the environment and provide them with a scientific understanding of environmental issues. By increasing their knowledge, we aimed to empower them to make informed decisions and take action towards environmental conservation. Foster social and ecological responsibility: Our project aimed to enhance participants' sense of social and ecological responsibility. We sought to provide them with effective methods and tools to improve the environmental state in their own communities. By instilling a sense of responsibility, we aimed to motivate participants to take active roles in promoting sustainable practices and becoming environmental advocates. Inclusion of participants with fewer opportunities: We aimed to create an inclusive project environment that engaged participants facing geographical, economic, and educational obstacles in international mobility. By providing them with equal opportunities and imparting ecological awareness, we aimed to break barriers and empower all participants to contribute to environmental sustainability. Promote the zero-waste lifestyle and the 5R principles: Our project aimed to educate participants about the zero-waste lifestyle and its core principles of responsible production, smart consumption, and waste management through the 5R principles. We aimed to equip participants with practical knowledge and skills to integrate these practices into their daily lives and inspire them to promote sustainable behaviors within their communities. Digital tools for designing and launching an ecological marathon: As part of the project, we provided participants with digital tools to design and launch an ecological marathon through social media. This marathon aimed to raise environmental awareness and develop sustainable eco-friendly skills and habits among the population of their home communities. It was designed to be accessible to people from both urban and rural areas, incorporating effective challenges and methods to engage a wide audience. Exchange of sustainable ideas and practices: Our project facilitated discussions among participants from different countries, encouraging the exchange of sustainable solutions for environmental problems in their respective localities. By fostering cross-cultural learning and sharing of ideas and practices, we aimed to inspire innovative approaches to environmental sustainability.
