Objectives

The project idea “Youth Voice for the Environment” was created due to the ecological issues that exist in the countries of the partner organizations. We aimed to find relevant ways to address some of the critical issues and give the youth people chance to be part of this idea. The social background of the project was the following: The environment plays a significant role in supporting life on Earth. Environmental degradation is detrimental since it threatens the health of animals, humans, and plants. Air and water pollution, global warming, smog, deforestation, and wildfires are just a few of the environmental issues that we are facing right now. The everyday activities of humans are constantly degrading the quality of the environment which ultimately results in the loss of survival conditions from the earth. In such a busy, crowded and advanced life we must take care of such types of small bad habits on a daily basis. With only a small effort in the end everyone can indeed bring a major positive change to our declining environment. The "Youth Voice for the Environment" project aimed to address the significant role of the environment in supporting life on earth. Environmental degradation posed threats to health, biodiversity, and overall ecosystem balance. The project emphasized the moral obligation to protect the environment and the urgency of addressing pollution, global warming, deforestation, and other environmental issues. The project “Youth Voice for the Environment” underlined the fact that we can all be changemakers and start living in the 'Green' Environment by taking responsibility for ourselves and implementing small or big initiatives—the project aimed to promote sustainability and show its importance to the youth. To reach the aim the project had the following objectives: - To give participants the possibility to share their knowledge and ideas; -To develop a mutual understanding of essential concepts such as sustainable development and community building, and to explore the links between these; - To foster a mutual better understanding of the ecological situation and culture in the countries of participants and develop a sense of ecological awareness; - To raise awareness about environmental issues and to promote sustainability and active citizenship in the communities; - To promote the values of diversity, respect, solidarity, and equality; - To stimulate creativity, challenge the participants' behaviors, and equip them with new ways of youth participation, personal expression and development, tools, and skills needed to lead responsible actions in their communities; - lead a campaign against climate change and environmental degradation; - To promote Erasmus + opportunities.
