Our project aimed to enhance the European Solidarity Corps (ESC) accessibility for young refugees by establishing Regional Mobility Hubs (RMHs) in Bremen, Grenoble, and Ávila. We focused on: 1.Enhancing Accessibility: Providing tailored training, guidance, and mentorship to prepare young refugees for cross-border volunteer experiences. 2.Capacity Building: Strengthening the abilities of partner organizations to manage and support volunteer services effectively, enhancing skills in project management and cultural mediation. 3.Fostering European Identity and Active Citizenship: Enabling young refugees to gain experiences that promote a sense of European identity and active participation in societal activities. 4.Promoting Inclusion and Integration: Creating inclusive environments within partner organizations and communities to enhance social cohesion and intercultural understanding. 5.Establishing a Sustainable Network: Building a long-term supportive network for continuous learning and collaboration among organizations aiding young refugees. These objectives aimed to provide impactful opportunities for young refugees, fostering their integration and participation in European life.
We applied for this project to make the European Solidarity Corps (ESC) program more accessible to young refugees, addressing the significant barriers they face in participating in cross-border voluntary services. Our focus was on creating Regional Mobility Hubs (RMHs) in Bremen, Grenoble, and Ávila to support these youth through tailored mentorship and capacity-building initiatives. We recognized the need for a structured network to prepare and guide young refugees, enhancing their integration and empowering them to actively participate in European society. Additionally, our project aimed to build the capacity of our partner organizations, ensuring they can effectively support this vulnerable group.
