MoMoEU!'s main objective was to empower youth workers with digital tools and innovative educational resources that can inspire young people to actively engage in community-based monitoring and civic action against corruption. By developing digital resources, MoMoEU! aligned with Erasmus+ priorities for digital readiness and civic responsibility among youth. Key objectives included strengthening the collaboration among partner organizations, improving youth workers' capacities to deliver integrity education, and fostering a culture of transparency across borders. Through this project, youth workers gained resources to educate youth on the importance of integrity, how to detect potential conflicts of interest, and how to monitor local and national institutions. The project also supported EU candidate countries in strengthening their civic systems. Ultimately, MoMoEU! aimed to build a network of empowered, digital-savvy youth workers who can independently pursue integrity education and actively contribute to anti-corruption efforts across Europe.
The "More Monitoring Action in the EU! (MoMoEU!)" project was initiated to address a clear gap in training resources for youth workers on integrity education and civic monitoring. Partners observed that traditional methods lacked engagement, especially for youth outside academic settings, and that digital tools for anti-corruption education were scarce. The project targets the growing need for youth engagement in democratic processes and active citizenship, with a focus on monitoring community and institutional integrity. By creating a culture of integrity, MoMoEU! encourages young people to become active monitoring citizens, learning how to hold public institutions accountable and fostering trust in democratic systems. This approach is essential in a digital world where young people are increasingly online and need digital skills for meaningful engagement. The project meets these needs by offering interactive, digital, and non-formal education tools, designed to be accessible to youth, and especially youth workers, across diverse European contexts, in alignment with both national and EU priorities.
