Objectives

The project was developed around the premise that in today's globalized world, cultural diversity is a significant aspect of society. It aimed to explore whether people from different cultural backgrounds can coexist harmoniously, fostering mutual acceptance and respect. It questioned whether cultural interactions lead to conflict or harmony and whether processes exist to navigate these interactions and overcome associated difficulties. The project aimed to advance inter-religious cooperation, promote respect for cultural differences among young people in Europe, and enhance human rights and social cohesion among different religious groups. Objectives: - Connecting youth NGOs: The project aimed to connect youth NGOs working on promoting intercultural dialogue and cooperation across Europe, fostering international communication and friendship among youth from diverse backgrounds. - Developing personal skills: Participants were encouraged to develop personal skills, knowledge, and attitudes to navigate cultural diversity, human rights, peace-building, and conflict resolution. - Youth opinions on conflict: The project sought to understand young people's perspectives on conflict recognition and resolution, facilitating discussions on conflict-solving strategies. - Analyzing media influence: There was an exploration of the role of mass media in perpetuating stereotypes, social prejudice, and discrimination, with a focus on fostering critical media literacy among participants. - Promoting diversity and intercultural Dialogue: The project aimed to promote diversity and foster intercultural dialogue among various ethnic, religious, and racial groups present in European societies. The outcomes of the project included increased awareness and appreciation of cultural diversity, improved intercultural communication skills, and strengthened networks among youth NGOs across Europe. Participants gained insights into the importance of mutual respect, dialogue, and cooperation in building inclusive and cohesive societies.
