The aim of the project was to gather young people during a democratic festival in Denmark, where the young people were in charge of designing events and hosting activities for other young people. With this project we wanted to attract more young people to the Political Festival of Europe and thereby engage more young people in democratic debates and democratic learning. With a project of this scale during the festival, we hoped that more young people from across Europe would notice the festival and thereby find the interest to engage in politics and youth organizations themselves. Youth will inspire youth. One of the goals of this project was to strengthen the democratic participation of European youth and the bonds between young people in Europe across borders, language, differences and culture. Our aim was to unite the youth of Europe in a project that will conclude in participation in a democratic festival. This project united young people from different places and organizations in a sort of youth consortium. The consortium should work together to create a forum wherein they enhanced young people’s democratic participation and their knowledge of European values. The idea behind this project was to unify youth from all over Europe and to engage them in the democratic European debate. By inviting the youth organizations to Denmark to join the Political Festival of Europe we gave them a clear frame from where they could participate and evolve together. One objective of this project was to strengthen the connection and network among youth and guests of the festival. Creating this project would also ensure that the Political Festival of Europe had an extensive focus on youth and would contribute to inspiring young people from all over Europe to join the democratic debate - not only during the festival but in general. One primary objective of this project was therefore to make young people get an active voice in the democratic debate and consequently inspire other young people to also take an active part in the democratic debate in Europe.
