Objectives

Aarhus University (AU) is committed to high-quality research, the development of future skills, and interdisciplinary collaboration through strong international partnerships. Internationalisation is central to AU’s strategy, contributing both to academic quality and to global visibility. Through this KA171 project, Erasmus+ funding made it possible to support student and staff mobility with partners in Egypt, Bhutan, and Canada. These exchanges strengthened AU’s international networks, enhanced the university’s global profile, and provided opportunities for knowledge sharing and capacity building across disciplines. For students, mobility offered valuable intercultural experiences that contribute to their preparation for international careers and strengthen their academic and personal skills. For staff, the exchanges created opportunities for professional development, collaboration, and the reinforcement of long-term partnerships. Erasmus+ funding thus plays a crucial role in AU’s internationalisation efforts by enabling mobility that increases AU’s visibility and attractiveness to international students and partners.
