Objectives

We wanted to develop pupils to become more responsible citizens and engaged in volunteering activities. Project woke up a pupil's initiative and entrepreneurship when it comes to fighting climate change. We encouraged interest in social entrepreneurship - to include all despite different approaches, pupils to accept and embrace diversity, to communicate via English, but also learn words and phrases in other European languages and to learn 'Green Skills*. Our pupils had the opportunity to appreciate common European values and also learned about differences across Europe and embraced their values. Project gave the pupils a possibility to develop entrepreneurship - solving problems with new ideas and to grow to be ambassadors/carriers of sustainability at our schools. The pupils got the option to learn about other cultures, understand history in order to understand the present and be more prepared for the future.

Background

The project focused on students aged 12-16 from diverse backgrounds, including disadvantaged ones and refugees. These students, identified by schools as needing to develop specific skills and attitudes, participated directly in project activities. They prepared materials for Learning, Teaching, and Training (LTT) activities, contributed to final products, engaged in ETwinning, and were involved in dissemination through workshops and online platforms. Selected students participated in LTT activities, physical mobility, and collaborated in mixed European teams on final products, exchanging information and attending classes. Teachers actively supported the students in these processes, guiding them during LTT activities and helping to integrate the results into regular teaching. The students explored cultural heritage, literature, entrepreneurship, and sustainability through interactive activities like games, making learning enjoyable. Parents, who also formed a key target group, hosted guest students, facilitating an exchange of culture and traditions across generations.
