The main objective of our project was to increase awareness and widen knowledge of the importance of sustainability among people from our communities, but also around the world. Thanks to transnational cooperation in our project we wanted to increase the understanding of the topic of the project by - building the networking to solve common problems, - generating and sharing knowledge among partners, - inspiring motivation, - enabling better promotion of innovative activities, - integrating different points of view, - giving diversity of approaches, - inspiring innovation, - learning tolerance. Thanks to international cooperation: - Different approaches were presented, different places connected with project topic were visited and thanks to these students learnt about the importance of sustainability faster, more efficiently, using every media possible. - A wide range of puzzles, mysteries, curiosities (in each subtopic) were found, presented and offered a great opportunity to exchange ideas, thoughts and predictions. - Researching the topic, finding information by visiting and obeserving the places of nature was carried out widely in four different countries.
We have decided to apply for this project to make our schools' and kindergartens' cooperation possible with the aim of increasing the society's awareness of some global problems. We chose sustainability as the idea for our project mainly because we cannot maintain our quality of life as human beings or the diversity of life on Earth unless we embrace it. Sustainability is something we must address or we will run out of fossil fuels and thousands of animal species will become extinct. We will damage the atmosphere and living conditions on our planet if we don't make efforts to maintain its actual state. The starting point of the project was the research which was carried out in November - December 2022 . In all the partner schools a needs analysis has been carried out which has revealed a requirement for the proposed project and its activities. We asked people ( families, studnts and teachers) arround us about sustainablity in all the partner schools. We found out that people don't know enough about this subject. This is why our project was aimed to increase the awareness of the importance of sustainability, both at our own homes and around the world.
