Objectives

1. By the end of the project (May 2024), the choices of music used by the special learner in teaching have been described and analyzed through the 5 components of well-being. 2. By the end of the project (May 2024), rhythm (music)- mathematics learning games and activities have been mapped and systematized, and the content and structure of study in SEN studies are meaningful. 3. The field-specific study materials for SEN students have been modernised. We wanted to make us aware of the use of music in class, create the joy of being with music-rhythm-art for adults, and combine practical experience with theoretical knowledge by compiling study materials. The reason for the theme: modern society (i.e., as our members) supports polarization, a small generational coherence. Being part of the music-art-movement is the core of a happy person. The average age of an employee of Porkuni School is 52.7 years – we are consciously contributing to the study of postgraduate trainees in formal education at the school. The resulting goal setting: Rhythm is the essence of the young person and the opportunity for playful learning for the student-teacher, through which the abstract field of learning (math) becomes an understandable.

Background

The basic needs of the school for the development of quality through an international project were (connection with the development plan of Porkuni School): 1. Broadening opportunities for cooperation, learning as a way of life (Vision of the Estonian Lifelong Learning Strategy 2020). It is important for the school to contribute as an internship institution to the formal education of the university's students every academic year. In a rapidly changing world, mobility enables you to be mentally fit as a teacher, motivated to welcome new young people with changed needs and learning skills.2. Health promotion. The knowledge experienced, and the skills acquired create a bridge to the positive to the attitude of life and the experience of success. A confident teacher will create a happy student (Development Plans 2020-2024, 2024-2027). 3. Sharing practical know-how (between partner organisations) in job shadowing; Knowledge of the differences in the teaching methods/activities of partner organisations - similarities in teaching with special educational needs "cultivates the teacher's tool case". Porkuni School (with its predecessors) has been a divider of education for 99 years.
