We wanted to bring new knowledge and experience to our school, with which to plan, develop and conduct the school day, taking into account the special needs of students. To increase the awareness and understanding of both employees and students, which contributes to raising the quality of the school's learning and education process. For our school, the comprehensive development of the student, creating an interest in learning and growing the ability to learn is central. Therefore, we want to offer teachers the opportunity to acquire new knowledge and increase their competence, which would help them guide students in the development of self-directed learning skills. As a result of the project, we will enrich the school's learning and educational process with new ideas and methodologies in order to modernize the learning environment and also diversify extracurricular activities. We plan to apply the new acquired knowledge in creating subject-based games and organizing active outdoor recess. Each teacher who participated in the project shares the acquired skills with colleagues to apply them in the school's learning system, thereby actively supporting the development of the learning model.
Kuusalu School is a municipal school located in Kuusalu Municipality. It is the only secondary school in the municipality that offers general education in grades 1-12. According to our 2021-2026 development plan the mission is to provide every student with a good education in a safe environment. We value cooperation at every level and want to ensure that everyone has a healthy learning, development and work environment. We value learning according to abilities - the learner's mental, social and physical development, noticing and recognizing all achievements, good cooperation with all interest groups, keeping and preserving the school's traditions. The aim of the project was to gather knowledge and experience from other schools and experts, which help to identify and support the special needs of students (including gifted students) and to develop the emotional balance of teachers, which allows them to more effectively manage and support the comprehensive development of students. Get new possibilities and ideas for subject-based games and active outdoor lessons for school. With new knowledge, we supplement the learning process of our school, which in turn contributes to the development of students into self-directed learners.
