We wanted to get to know the newer alternative means of communication in use in different countries and to see the practical use of these means in teaching and everyday life.
We have a school for children with special needs, where children who cannot speak or have a severe speech impediment also study. In order to help children understand others and make themselves better understood by others, it is necessary to teach children suitable alternative means of communication. The project helped us see and practically experience what kind of alternative means of communication and the methods of using these means are used in partner schools.
