Objectives

The implementation of the project's activities creates opportunities for teachers and specialists to be more informed about important topics in the field of education in other parts of Europe. Creating learning opportunities through international cooperation and applying for financing for mobility activities is part of the organization's strategic development. Children who are in kindergarten today grow up in a changing and diverse information field and come into contact with religious, gender, and cultural differences. As a result of the changes taking place in society, different situations come into educational life, therefore caring and empathetic relationships are important. In order to provide a high-quality service, it is important for employees to have awareness and continuous self-improvement, to analyze and compare their own and others' activities, and help constantly to improve their professional knowledge - the project's activities supported helped to move towards the mentioned goals. With the support of the project, we wanted to create opportunities for our employees to gain additional practical knowledge outside of Estonia for the implementation of inclusive education and playful learning.

Background

The main goal of the institution's activities is to create conditions for growth and development for children up to seven years old. The quality of the pedagogical content is of great importance in the institution - how each child's development is supported depends on the activities of the teachers and specialists. In order to be aware of different perspectives and approaches applied by colleagues in different countries, we are looking for cooperation opportunities at the international level. With the support of the project, we wanted to increase the knowledge of our employees, as well as support the ability to expand our network of partners. When developing the content of educational work, we focused on the following priority topics within the project: supporting children with different home languages, shaping a multilingual and cultural learning environment, inclusive education, principles of a child-led approach in education.
