The project supported the implementation of the 2022-2025 development plan of Luua FS and the achievement of goals, incl. to support the professional development of students and employees, develop study content and ensure high-quality learning at school. The main objectives of the project were: 1) for employees: professional development, improving the quality of study organisation, updating teaching methods; 2) for students: development of professional competences and increasing the competitiveness of students on the labour market, as well as language skills and development of personal qualities; 3) for the school in general: to ensure the internationality, competitiveness and sustainable functioning of the Luua FS, to maintain the existing international cooperation network and to establish new partnerships.
The aim of the Erasmus+ project was to offer Luua students and employees the opportunity to participate in mobility in European countries to support their professional development. Students were able to do short-term internships in European schools. The project enabled staff to take part in training in different European countries and do job shadowing in vocational schools in order to learn from their best practices. The project supported the development of the participants' professional knowledge, practical skills, as well as language skills, cultural awareness and various interpersonal qualities. Luua Forestry School (FS) is the only vocational educational institution in Estonia specializing in forestry topics, so international mobility and experience are an important way to support the professional development of our students and employees. The school offers level 2-5 vocational training in forestry, horticulture and travel, tourism and leisure. The school has students from all counties all over Estonia. The mobility project was a great opportunity to diversify the development and traineeship opportunities of our students and staff and to develop international cooperation with partner organisations.
