Objectives

Our overarching aim in participating Erasmus+ program was to increase internationalization at the EUAS to support our goals, vision and mission by providing additional professional and self-development opportunities for both students and staff. We encouraged the students to study, to undertake internships abroad to broaden their horizon and explore additional development opportunities for successful careers. We offered employees new innovative international development opportunities (incl. sharing experiences, teaching in a multicultural classroom, finding new partners, developing existing curricula and joint programs). Which enabled them to improve language and intercultural communication skills whilst acquiring a range of other soft skills through guest lectures, international classrooms as well as the international environment of the University. The Erasmus+ program has enabled us to practice principles of non-discrimination and equal treatment which are among the core values at the EUAS. We believe, diversity is a strength and harnessing this diversity creates a productive environment in which everyone feels valued and where talents are fully utilized. __________________________ In more detail, our general aims were: • to encourage EUAS students to study and to undertake internships abroad to broaden their horizon and offer additional development opportunities for successful careers; • to create opportunities for students from different countries to study, have an internship in Estonia and familiarize them with various opportunities Estonia is offering incl. educational system, the Estonian business landscape, internship opportunities, sustainability, culture etc; • to offer employees new innovative international development opportunities (incl. sharing experiences, teaching in a multicultural classroom, finding new partners, developing existing curricula and joint programs); • to be a research and development partner for higher education institutions and companies throughout Europe strengthening cooperation through more efficient usages of existing educational resources; We aimed to give students and/or staff an opportunity: • to gain an international experience irrespective of gender, disability, marital or parental status, racial, ethnic or social origin, color, religion, belief, or sexual orientation.
