Objectives

This first year of accreditation focused on the 1st main objective of our accreditation plan which has been: STREET CULTURE AS A TOOL FOR YOUNG PEOPLE’S EMANCIPATION, INCLUSION AND EMPOWERMENT With this objective we aim: - to use street culture as an effective way to engage young people in order to give them the tools to emancipate themselves; - to develop in youngsters the soft skills and competencies useful for their personal and professional growth through the tool of street culture; - to promote inclusion, diversity and creativity, core values of street culture; - to foster active participation including young people in events and public activities which have a measurable impact on our society, at local and international level. Out of this main activity we wanted to use the European Year of Competences to work on Soft Skills and competences connected to the Street Culture and Creativity in youth work and young people. So, we created a training course with the aim to transfer models, tools and knowledge about young artists and how to increase their soft skills to facilitate their entrance in the labour market. through the Training course we aimed to: - Discover more about young artists realities, issues and needs in Europe - Explore and transfer tools for slef-confidence and self-efficacy development, intercultural learning, event management, digital skills and all useful competences for a young artist - Create new non-formal education activities for young artists to be used by other youth workers at local level - Develop a network among youth workers and organisations who work in the field of creativity, street culture and art. Instead with the youth exchange we wanted to involve a mix of young artists and young people in general to work and use street culture as a tool for social inclusion. Many categories are socially excluded so out of our project we wanted to raise awareness among young people about the opportunity to use such a youth friendly and closer tool as street culture to achieve these categories. In the youth exchange we wanted to: to promote social inclusion and intercultural dialogue through Street Artand Street Games and to share best practices at european level on thetopic among the participants; - to propose Street Art as a tool to develop soft skills useful in the labourmarket and as an alternative path to the social radicalisation of thedisadvantaged groups; - to foster intercultural learning through the exchange betweenparticipants using the methods of non formal and informal education; - to organize a final event where participants and local youngsters couldexpress themselves artistically; - to inform about the opportunities of the Erasmus+ Programme for youngpeople as a tool for social inclusion and growth for young people
