Objectives

By implementing both activities within the project, we wanted to enrich the experience and work methods of youth workers from different countries When planning our activities, we noted 4 main objectives for ourselves: 1. Provide an opportunity for youth workers to gain experience living and working together in a mixed-ability group on an equal basis. Through this experience, people become bolder and are inspired to engage a wider range of young people in their daily work. This means the groups they work with in the field will be more diverse. And youth life, projects and civic engagement are available to more young people. 2. Show, using an example of a specific activity, what a unique method of work is project activity within the Erasmus program. By living their personal experience, paying attention with the help of trainers to individual stages of group dynamics and having the opportunity for individual and group reflection, participants understand exactly how the project affects and why it is such a powerful tool. 3. Again, use an example to show that the project can be made inclusive and this should not be feared. During the training, giving examples from practice, paying attention to the details of the project itself, telling how to make the environment more accessible using simple methods, we motivated the participants to explore opportunities in their organizations to make all events more inclusive. All participants received access to additional literature and methods of working for inclusive groups for personal study. 4. Through a clear example of the work of the project team and the groups itself, show that very different people can work on an equal footing. That diversity enriches us. We were able to achieve this due to the fact that both the project team and the groups were mixed-ability. As part of the project, we conducted two training courses for those who are actively involved in working with youth, who want to expand the boundaries of their target group and are looking for new methods for performing daily work. As part of both activities, we gave participants, in addition to the above, theoretical knowledge and practical skills in using a specific method - comics, in particular educational comics on socially sensitive topics, and adaptation, in particular the adaptation of energizers used in everyday life by youth workers.
