Where focus goes, energy flows is a training course during 8 days that was take place in Estonia. Main aim of the project was to train people how to develop awareness about energy field and EU position (green deal) in this area. Motivate people to work on social aspects of industry changing and to support people, especially younger generation, with knowledge of green policy for fair transition from fossil fuel to green resources. Training course supposed to involve 28 people from 7 countries. In the modern society environmental issues became really important topic. Everyday we use energy and technology and do not think deeply, how it influence to our world. The environment is an important issue even when society is faced with economic crises, wars, and social problems. It matters because Earth is the only home that humans have, and it provides air, food, and other needs. To achieve better behavior with environment it also really important to follow safety rules and keep spread the safety culture between society. Second issue, awareness how energy field works, especially between younger generation. If we want to save our planet we must to learn how to cover our energy needs and protect our environment. Younger generation is the most suitable group, because they are open to learn and safe the place, where we live and to teach to be responsible for the any steps in their adult life. It is important that youngsters get more knowledge about it and motivate their interest to become specialist and engineers at energy field and not to leave home areas where is happening industry changing. Lack of new workers and lower interest of this field after will not bring our society for new changes. That's why our team see need of this topic between youth workers, how they can be as a bridge of support for our younger generation. The nature of Estonia is a good example, how population takes care about green areas and our way how industry area as Ida-Virumaa is changing and trying to find new ways of that. Objectives of our Training Course: - to share international knowledge about energy using and energy creation - safety behavior and environmental protection and this importance in active citizenship for younger generation - people behavior with energy using and the nature - international knowledge sharing of the current situation at homeland about sustainable energy using and eco-friendly ways - Discuss of "fair transition" from fossil fuel using to green solutions, how to spread awareness and support society - Information sharing between youth workers people from different countries are going to be first step for information spreading out, how it is important to develop knowledge about nature, energy field importance and eco-friendly technology using. - active citizenship for environment protection - one of the main training goals is also to spread the knowledge, so our first mission of that is going to be youth "energy" camp, with Enerhack and TalTech cooperation.
