Objectives

The objective of the project was to develop socioemotional knowledge and a role model for young workers, thus helping young workers to be more competent when faced with violence against young people, and to help themselves and adolescents cope with the problem as painlessly as possible for their physical and mental health. The initiator of the project was Estonia. In Estonia, at the state level, under the auspices of the Ministry of Education and Science, in 2017, the "Educational Path without Violence" strategy was developed and professional trainees and the "Free from Violence" network operate. Within the framework of the project, the Estonian organization, together with partner organizations, organized events that contributed to the professional development of young workers in the Baltic countries, such as seminars and workshops, which contribute, in particular, to the accumulation of knowledge and the exchange of best practices related to the goals of the project. In addition to developing skills, youth workers had to gain a key understanding of bullying prevention, which is the role of passive bullying viewers in society as a whole and the consequences of bullying for passive viewers; recognition that everyone has a duty to intervene in bullying or to report to someone who may respond. Influencing the professional development of youth workers and developing socio-emotional knowledge and a model for the role model of youth workers, the main beneficiaries of the project were to be children and youth in the Baltic countries.
