Objectives

Our goal for this partnership-building activity was to identify and address some of the key challenges Europe is currently facing and enhance the international capabilities of youth organisations that focus on youth entrepreneurship. SMEs are crucial for the EU economy, representing 99% of businesses and driving innovation in climate change and social cohesion. However, youth unemployment remains a significant issue, worsened by the pandemic and leading to negative consequences like low frustration and disempowerment, low self-esteem, low motivation, cynicism, and radicalisation. Entrepreneurs are concerned about the lack of opportunities, as shown in the 2020 McKinsey Report. As youth organisations and communities, it's our mission to equip youth workers and leaders to promote entrepreneurship as an alternative to employment among young people. The methods and skills required have evolved in recent years, and we aim to introduce them through our regular quality youth work that promotes self-employment and entrepreneurial culture. Thus, the objectives of the project were the following: - to discuss modern challenges of youth entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial education; - to exchange best practices and brainstorm solutions to modern needs and issues; - to enhance the understanding of Erasmus+ (KA1&KA2) opportunities among partners; - to strengthen synergies between organisations - members of Erasmus+ Youth Academy active in the field of entrepreneurship education; - to transform ideas into project proposals and increase success rate (idea analysis, communication, project plan, dissemination and budgeting. This project aligns with the 'Empowering' pillar of the EU Youth Strategy, which aims to empower young people through quality, innovation, and recognition of youth work, as all projects developed during this partnership-building activity will target the groups that organisations regularly work with.
