Objectives

International cooperation and mobility are central to the Internationalisation Strategy of Tallinn Health University of Applied Sciences (UAS) and Ukrainian Catholic University (UCU). The UAS Development Plan and Internationalisation Strategy 2022–2026 stress that international cooperation must cover all curricula, research and development, e-learning, traineeships, student and staff mobility and innovation. Global competences and digital skills of staff and students are seen as essential for delivering high-quality healthcare. UCU Global Strategy 2030, in turn, prioritises developing international networks, staff competences, and modern rehabilitation practices to meet the needs of a society deeply affected by war. The specific objectives of this project were to: - Enable 4 Ukrainian students to complete occupational therapy traineeships at UAS. - Enable 8 Ukrainian lecturers to participate in our international week and training courses in order to enhance staff competences in occupational therapy, psychological counselling and intercultural teaching. - Strengthen bilateral cooperation, focusing on curriculum development, joint research and integration of modern evidence-based methods into teaching and practice.
