Objectives

The beneficiary Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre cooperated with higher education institutions of music from Georgia, Azerbaijan and Colombia. The background of the partnerships lies in shared strategic aims and connections. All institutions emphasise internationalisation at home and abroad and the provision of high-quality education meeting the needs of field-specific labour market. Continuous enhancement of international cooperation, knowledge sharing and benchmarking within and outside the EU is vital to achieving this aim. Participation in Erasmus+ mobility directly supports these goals. Eastern Partnership institutions are important partners for EAMT due to their high musical level but also rich cultural heritage and shared educational background. Raising the quality of its educational activities, EAMT aims to contribute to capacity building through updating teaching methodologies and modernising the educational offer of its partners. However, the Colombian institution is not only a partner for capacity building but allows to strengthen artistic and pedagogic initiatives by stimulating academic dialogue among artists, teachers and students. For EAMT, this partnership also relates to the goal to support global mentality.
