Through this international credit mobility project, the Estonian Academy of Arts strengthened education in art, design, architecture and heritage, in line with the academy’s development plan, through two-way exchanges with partner universities outside the programme countries. The project deepened partnerships through co-teaching, joint studios and mentoring. It widened access by reserving funds and guidance for participants with fewer opportunities and by improving pre-departure support on visas, insurance and housing. To improve quality and recognition, the academy refined learning agreements, aligned courses and credits, and collected feedback from every incoming student. The project promoted responsible mobility through virtual and blended components, low-impact travel, and curricula that address sustainability and inclusion. As a result, participants gained skills, networks and intercultural competence, and partner institutions benefited from shared practice and capacity building.
