The aim of the project is to familiarize the school teachers with inclusive strategies and methods. In that way they will be able to use them in the classroom and create a calm and positive climate. Isolated students will fee excepted and school dropout will be prevented It is important for our students in today's society to be able to coexist harmoniously at school, to accept diversity. We hope that starting from the school environment it will become a lifelong attitude. Children learn more effectively by seeing actions and less by hearing words. The participation of a school teacher in a seminar that takes place in a faraway country for them is a source of inspiration and motivation. In a declining, rural area with limited opportunities for extroversion, this is especially important. It also brings them closer to the European Union and the Erasmus+ programme.
Our high school is located in a declining rural area in which residents experience several socioeconomic disparities. Inclusion and early school leaving are important issues for educators. Efforts have been made to mobilize students through the implementation of various school activities for many years. Despite all this, isolation of children and aggressive behavior towards them from other children has been noticed. It was considered appropriate to implement a project on inclusion. Although all teachers were offered participation, only one person agreed to participate and attend a course on inclusion. This is mainly due to lack of information concerning the meaning of inclusion. This course is the unique activity of our project.
