With this program we are striving to achieve: 1. To correspond as a school to the necessity of managing the diversity of the student body. 2. To confront the problems of acceptance and incorporation, in education, of less-fortunate students. 3. To provide information and raise awareness about the environment and climate change. To incorporate in the educational process, “eco-friendly” practices and methods. 4. To achieve personal and professional development, in matters of holistic and innovatory approach of the educational process. 5. Deepening of Democracy and its European dimension in education.
We consider the school a space, capable of providing to students and teachers, environments and experiences that will increase their knowledge, through interaction with peers and teachers with different educational perceptions and from different countries. To do so, the school staff need to renew and develop their teaching practices, in relation to basic skills and new challenges.By the end of the training the 2nd General Lyceum of Thessaloniki will be closer to the realization of its vision of the reconstruction and will be practically evolved to a modern school, able to meet the demands of the future of education, providing continuous training and opportunities for personal development to its' teachers and to the local educational community, with modern and innovative teaching approaches, oriented to the European and global educational environment.
