One of the main objectives of the program was to promote the use of new technologies and innovative teaching methods. By participating in the mobilities, we aimed for teachers to be informed about the latest trends and developments in the field of education and to familiarize themselves with the use of new technologies (online tools and educational platforms) and how to integrate these technologies into teaching them and use them to promote active learning and collaborative work among students. Our aim was to develop a school environment distinguished by teamwork and cooperation as well as the creation of a friendly, open and cooperative atmosphere which would enhance the educational process and promote interaction and the exchange of ideas between students. Another goal was to enrich teaching by utilizing cultural heritage as an immovable learning resource by implementing a project with elements of local, Greek and European culture which in the long term could offer a broader and multicultural educational experience to students according to European standards.
The long-suffering Primary School of Damasi, is a school that has faced many challenges after the 2021 earthquake and sought to leverage the Erasmus+ program to improve its educational offering. Through the Erasmus+ program, teachers had the opportunity to attend seminars, training programs, training workshops and other activities in schools and educational organizations in three European countries. This exchange of experiences and knowledge is expected to enhance the skills and experience of teachers in the long term, positively influencing the quality of education provided in our school. The Erasmus+ program provided excellent opportunities for the continuous training and development of teachers, encouraging them to acquire new skills, exchange best practices and develop international networking. Through the three activities funded by the Erasmus+ program, our teachers had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with innovative approaches to education, to expand their knowledge of multiculturalism, cultural exchange and language learning and strengthening European culture.
