The implementation of the project aimed at: • Upgrading the quality of the offered services. • Promoting inclusive education. • Updated continuous training. • Enhancing interdisciplinary and teamwork values. In particular, MACSC of Ioannina pursued: a) the improvement of the offered services in the fields of evaluation, counseling, and support of students, their families, and teachers. b) the knowledge of how other European educational systems meet each student's needs, deal with school life challenges and promote inclusion, c) the acquisition of 21st-century skills so that professionals can keep up with the complex demands of modern times, d) the teamwork skills strengthening to provide more effective services not only to the educational but also to the wider community.
The Multidisciplinary Assessment, Counselling and Support Centre (MACSC) of Ioannina is not an independent organization but it is under the supervision of the Regional Directorate of Primary and Secondary Education (RDPSE) of Epirus. For this reason, an ERASMUS KA122-SCH application can only be submitted by RDPSE in favour of MACSC staff. The RDPSE of Epirus decided to give the opportunity to employees of KEDASY Ioannina to participate in international training activities and submitted this application. after taking the above into account and considering: a) that the MACSC members show a repeated and sincere interest in participating in Erasmus+ training activities, b) the fact that the staff has not taken part in similar actions since its establishment. Moreover, the increased current needs and the multidimensional role of MACSC, which has to implement the integration policy of the Ministry of Education, make urgent the need for continuous staff training, in order to respond effectively to the multifaceted task of supporting refugees, students with educational and psychosocial needs, their families and the whole educational community of the prefecture of Ioannina.
