To realize the risks that threaten the environment and its sustainability and to take action at the local level with consequences at the global level. 3. To make participants understand what the energy footprint is and how they can reduce it by adopting good green practices. 4. Training of teachers in environmental issues in Reykjavik, Iceland 5. Job shadowing of teachers in Grenoble, France. 6. To adopt good green practices at school level and to continue through another environmental project to raise awareness of environmental issues in as many students as possible.

Background

The project "Our green habits" aimed to train teachers in pedagogies, in didactic approaches to holistic management of the environment, to implement actions so that those that were involved (students, teachers, parents)adopt small daily behaviors in order to reduce their energy footprint and realize that the issue of environmental protection is global and requires the active participation of all of us. The 3rd Gymnasium of Kalamata is a Secondary Education Gymnasium that follows the curriculum of the secondary schools of the country. The school is also one of the city's authorized schools for students with special educational needs. In order to motivate all our students and ensure the same educational opportunities for all, we implement innovative teaching practices and participate in many activities both at national and European level. For the school year 2023-2024 our school was awarded the eTwinning school label .
