New learning and teaching methods and approachesEuropean identity and valuesAwareness about the European Union

Objectives

By adopting new ways of teaching, we hope to make our students more receptive to learning in general and to European Union issues in particular. The European Union, Greece and we, as citizens and teachers, understand how important this is, especially for the younger generation. They need to feel like European citizens in order to be able to function as European citizens with all the obligations and rights that this implies and to become recipients of the benefits that the European Union offers. This is, after all, our main objective.

Background

The need to increase students' interest in learning, became even more urgent, after two years of distance education due to coronavirus. This interest was also lacking in the course of Geography of Europe, where the European Union is a large part of it. The need to make students more receptive to European Union issues is very important. For the last three years our school has been involved with the Erasmus Programs. Despite the difficult conditions due to coronavirus, the results of this action were only positive. The inplication of our school in such programs we will try to be continuous. This program, apart from the fact that we believe that our school will benefit, is also a first attempt in this direction.
