The first objective is for the school to become more technologically oriented in order to provide modern education to the students. One of the school's priorities is to provide technological literacy. Our school now needs quality digital tools and equipment, aiming to be a modern school as we envision it. The second objective of the program concerns teachers. The demands of modern reality require digitally literate and technologically trained teachers. Teachers need to feel confident that they can create those citizens of tomorrow who will be fully prepared for the new digital age. The third objective is to give our students equal opportunities for learning in order to maximize their potential. We need to provide them with the most modern methods of learning. aiming to bring out their best capabilities and talents.
In our organization (Experimental Primary School of Serres), our duty is to teach primary school students as all the classical schools of primary education. Moreover, the school offers clubs of innovative approach to topics of the students' interest. The after-school clubs work with small groups and hands on methods. The school subjects’ syllabi and timetables can be reformed in order for the innovations to take place and for the clubs to function. Research projects can also be undertaken in cooperation with national or international schools, universities, research agencies and foundations. The school has experience in environmental programs and networks. Our school needs to update the teachers' ICT skills to become more qualified and keep pace with the new technological challenges. Our school strives to gain expertise in ICT aiming to enhance the quality of teaching and the quality of eTwinning projects which run during the last years.
