The implementation of the project helped the school unit to achieve the goals set by its pedagogical team. The aim is: - Acquisition of techniques for work with heterogeneous classes, addressing the increased diversity of students, supporting the integration of students with learning difficulties and disabilities in general education. - Enhancing the positive climate in the school, through the implementation and application of appropriate action strategies in order to avoid antisocial behavior and school failure. - Another goal is the further development of extroversion, cooperation, communication, intercultural awareness of culture and the development of European identity. The target groups are two, teachers and students. Our participation in the program helped us to combine the existing experience with the new knowledge which helped us to further improve our teaching and pedagogical skills.
Our school already has significant experience in managing diversity. We have students from all social classes, students from the local orphanage, students with learning disabilities and syndromes (autism, Down syndrome, Asperger's). This year, however, we have to face even more special conditions as we have to manage the reintegration of students and teachers in face-toface education after two years of distance learning which has left its mark strongly. Similar difficulties are faced by teachers who have been called to work again in their physical space under significantly different conditions. We want to achieve the further transformation of our school into an inclusive school, the improvement of learning conditions for students and working conditions for teachers. We want everyone involved to feel that the school is a safe, creative and open space for everyone.
