Objectives

We wanted to enhance the professional qualifications of our students on rapidly developing technologies of the future applied to their field of study, specifically in the IT and Applied Arts Sectors. Our main goal is to strengthen student’s professional qualifications, so that they correspond to the requirements of the modern and future labor market, and to help them create a network of professional contacts in other European countries. Our will was to benefit as much as possible students with fewer opportunities, which was done, as several participants were from low economic incomes, single-parent families, or live in remote rural villages of our prefecture.

Background

Our organization is a Vocational Education Laboratory Center in the rural prefecture of Kastoria. Students from three Vocational High Schools (two day and one evening) practice in our workshops. Our project concerns the training of 20 students of the Informatics and Applied Arts Departments in graphic and 3D design technologies for a period of 14 days in Valencia, Spain. The mobility took place from 23/3 to 5/4/2023 and our host in Valencia was the company Ikasia Technologies.
