Objectives

The implementation of this project practically highlighted the importance of multi-participation in the EU. It was also important for us to acquaint our students with other countries in order to show tolerance to the culture and civilization of other countries. In practice, multiculturalism was highlighted in a modern environment and through this, familiarization with different organizational cultures was attempted. These arose mainly from companies that were active in Portugal. In particular, Portugal is famous for the interconnection of its businesses with the digital business due to its ties with Latin America. At the same time, our students received digital skills through the seminars, which will be extremely important to them in the practices implemented by digital businesses.

Background

The evolution of IEK Thermi from a simple IEK to an Experimental IEK highlighted its responsibility in a constantly demanding environment. The creation of a new and at the same time experimental specialty, "Human Resources Management Executive" that started last September is a partnership between PDIEK Thermi, the University of Western Macedonia and the Greek Chamber of Commerce. In this context, the trainees of the experimental specialty were asked to acquire new skills in various subjects. The intention of the IEK was to be able to highlight the good practices implemented by companies from other countries, especially Portugal, as well as to familiarize them with new specialties and with the concept of multiculturalism, on the other hand. The mobility in a welcoming state like Portugal, by taking seminars and visiting companies at the same time, was perhaps the appropriate form for the trainees to be trained in the new digital business environment.
