The main objectives of the project are: - training of students in the field of Agriculture in innovative production techniques of smart / functional food. - training of students in the field of Agriculture in the way of management and operation of modern vertical units operating in at least two production sectors. -training in the environmental management of modern industrial units and at the same time adopting sustainable attitudes for the participants and the school. -adoption of Erasmus + core principles: inclusion, multilingualism, multiculturalism, networking for participants and the school.
The students of the 1st EPAL of Lamia come mainly from rural families. Most of them, after finishing school they will work in the field of agriculture. Nevertheless, technology innovation and new ideas are required. Besides, food and nutrition are currently classified as two highly competitive and developing sectors of the economy both in Greece and in the international global environment. School comes to support young entrepreneurs in the field of Agriculture and Food and to provide knowledge and skills. But with practice in a real work environment, the school's goal, which coincides with students' expectations, is to offer ideas for entrepreneurship that will include a combination of production sectors for new quality, safe foods with functional properties for the consumer.
