Objectives

The Internship Consortium of the Technical University of Crete is composed of the three major institutions on the island of Crete: the Technical University of Crete, the University of Crete, the Hellenic Mediterranean University (formerly the Technological Educational Institute of Crete), as well as the Chania Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The Consortium was established with the primary goal of both meeting the ever-increasing demand from students to carry out internships abroad under the Erasmus+ program, and enhancing the visibility of the Partner Institutions—especially by showcasing the quality of their educational and research services. This is achieved through the students themselves, who act as ambassadors of these Institutions at the organizations and companies where they undertake their internships. The Consortium aims to provide students and recent graduates with the opportunity to gain valuable work experience in international environments and to improve and/or develop a wide range of skills, such as interpersonal, language, and digital skills.
