The implementation of one of the largest Erasmus+ KA171 project at our institution had a clear objective: to strengthen the University’s international presence and establish it as a reliable partner in the field of mobility. Τhe project focused on short-term student and staff mobilities, aiming to provide participants with meaningful academic and professional experiences in multicultural environments, while enhancing their skills and promoting the outward-looking profile of the University. At the same time, the project sought to identify and improve critical internal mobility management processes, such as reducing bureaucracy, monitoring payments, and ensuring efficient document handling. The seriousness with which the project was approached is also reflected in the recruitment of additional staff, which reinforced administrative capacity and facilitated the smooth implementation of activities. Overall, the project allowed us to gain valuable experience, improve operational mechanisms, invest in human resources, and lay solid foundations for a comprehensive internationalisation strategy in the years to come.
