By implementing the Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility project, the University of Western Macedonia (UOWM) wanted to promote its internationalisation and modernisation in accordance with the priorities of the European Education Area. Staff and student mobility has always been at the core of institution’s strategy. The participation in the project helps UOWM to contribute to the development of internationally oriented teaching and learning, collaborative research and knowledge transfer. This way, new opportunities are created for the participants to learn from one another across national borders, to work together, to develop learning or/and teaching skills. To conclude, the implementation of the project helps participants to acquire new skills, deepen their understanding of other cultures and be successful in a complex and interconnected world that faces rapid technological, cultural and economic change.
