We want European societies to be more adaptive and inclusive, ensuring the social inclusion of people from vulnerable and marginalized groups by offering a wide range of flexible educational opportunities at all levels - formal and informal - according to the needs of these groups. All this will significantly improve employability, especially for groups normally excluded from the labor market. In particular, they will gain the motivation for social reintegration with increased awareness of their environment, which will make it possible to participate in the life of the community in an active way. Permanent support from mentoring networks and synergies created support sustainable forms of training for the adoption of new anti-discrimination policies. These are the developments that will lead to a resilient and inclusive society, which will enable the empowerment and inclusion of all individuals and provide a solid basis for further action towards promoting social equality and cohesion across Europe.
We applied for this project in order to address the critical needs of rehabilitated women facing social reintegration challenges. The project integrates ecotourism, social inclusion and ICT-based R&D opportunities that are vital for sustainable impact in the EU. Since COVID-19, the downturn in the tourism sector has highlighted the need for a skilled workforce and diverse, inclusive services and we believe that ecotourism can empower women and promote social inclusion, as these women are often excluded from initiatives. The REACT4women project aimed to bridge this gap by providing Open Educational Resources and digital tools to enhance their skills, promote eco-conscious behaviours and support their reintegration. Through mentoring and connecting them with ecotourism operators, the project prepares them for a sustainable, inclusive future, contributing to the economic and social development of the EU.
