We applied for this project to address environmental challenges and equip students with the skills and knowledge for a sustainable future. We observed a lack of structured opportunities for students to engage in meaningful environmental education and sustainable practices. We wanted to provide a way to integrate green skills, energy conservation, and resource management into our school’s curriculum and activities. The transition to a sustainable future requires not only awareness but also practical skills in energy efficiency, waste reduction, and climate-conscious decision-making. With this project these competencies are integrated into our schools’ programs, preparing students to take the right action Many students, struggle with basic education. We wanted, by incorporating hands-on, project-based learning focused on sustainability, the education to become more engaging and relevant, helping students develop essential skills while fostering responsibility toward the environment. A big challenge in our schools is student disengagement, which often leads to early school leaving. We wanted this interdisciplinary project to motivate our students by showing the impact of their education on the world and ensuring global thinking.
