Objectives

The project aimed to empower educators, parents/guardians and related professionals to better support children in navigating digital risks. It sought to develop a shared educational framework, high-quality digital learning materials and counselling-oriented tools that raise awareness, encourage prevention and promote responsible digital behaviour. Another key objective was to foster cross-sectoral and transnational cooperation, while ensuring inclusivity, accessibility and long-term sustainability of results. Background

The project was developed in response to the increasing exposure of children to digital risks, such as cyberbullying and internet addiction, combined with the limited preparedness of parents, guardians, teachers and professionals to address these challenges effectively. Adults often feel overwhelmed, under-skilled and uncertain about how to communicate with children about digital safety, despite being aware of the risks. Existing educational resources were fragmented, often not age-appropriate and rarely addressed parents and educators together. There was a clear need for innovative, accessible and engaging educational tools that promote digital readiness, critical thinking and safe online behaviour, while also strengthening cooperation between families, educators and professionals.
