The project is aiming to build the capacity of key actors in VET (VET institutions, intermediary organisations and companies) to support the organisation of apprenticeships in a digital and virtual way. This includes the use of digital skills and methods, the design and implementation of digital strategies in relation with the organisation of online apprenticeships that will fit their own needs, the implementation of EFQEA online and the digital adaptation of their apprenticeship procedures
The proposal for this project was made in order to address a fundamental need of the North Aegean Region: strengthening the capacity of stakeholders and involved Vocational Education and Training Centers (VET Centers) to adapt to digital transformation and to organize effective online apprenticeships. As an organization with nearly 30 years of experience in training, social inclusion, and the implementation of European projects, we have identified a clear gap in the digital readiness of VET stakeholders, especially in remote island and rural areas. The COVID-19 pandemic further highlighted this gap, emphasizing the need for digital skills upgrades and innovation in apprenticeships. Through this project, we aim to transfer best practices, develop practical tools, and enhance the digital skills of VET institutions and businesses. This approach aligns with our mission to promote regional development and expand employment and educational opportunities. This common goal brought all partners in this scheme together, aiming to achieve impactful results in their respective regions of action.
