People believe that environmental issues are not their problem, that they cannot do as much as it would need to make the change in the environmental destruction. Our goal was to make them understand that we can make the change with small but very important steps, to motivate young people toward environmental sustainability. This exchange was a great opportunity to bring together youngsters from 7 European countries and to raise our issue on European level in order to make bigger and wider impact of this very important topic. Further goal was that by returning from the youth exchange, the participants can turn into action the ideas, use their knowledge and take the good practices that they learnt here during the program. The need to discuss, exchange ideas, give knowledge about this issue to young people is limitless and could have an extremely important impact on the participants, their families and local communities. This program promotes critical and creative thinking skills and inspires the participants to become more engaged with their communities. It helped them understand why the environment is important and provides them with the building blocks they need to live eco-friendly and sustainable lives. Through different workshops we allowed the youngsters to explore environmental issues, engage in problem solving, and take action to improve the environment.
